Positive: The cottage is in a great location with exceptional natural beauty. Our host was very helpful and kind, and the cottage is equipped with all the basic equipment anyone could need to prepare meals and snacks. The cottage overall is very cozy. We were there in the winter. I also wish to add that our host was very thoughtful. The cottage was very clean. An added benefit is the neighbors are also very friendly. There is a tiny grocery store in Fanore, but Ballyvaughn has a somewhat bigger store with all the basics. There are many excellent restaurants/pubs within easy driving distance. The cottage is close to the Cliffs of Moher and Aillwee Cave and Bird Sanctuary. Both must sees. The cottage is also framed by the Burren and the sea. You cannot do much better than that!
Negative: The cottage overall was wonderful except for the comfort level of the beds. They were are uncomfortably firm to the point where it felt more like sleeping on a box spring than a mattress. Each bed had the same problem. Pillows were provided, but they were also exceptionally firm. Hard on old bones! I would also recommend including a How To List for the heat, the washer and dryer, and the showers. We had lived in the UK and travelled in Europe, so we were able to figure out everything, but someone from the US or Canada, who does not have that level of experience. would find using the equipment to be a bit of a challenge. Of course, the host was more than happy to help with any questions. Just a suggestion.
Summary: It was just lovely and we were very grateful for our host's thoughtfulness. Highly recommended!

Positive: Superb location. Lovely house, very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, central heating and a great fireplace. A bathtub is always a big plus in my book, too.
Negative: Tumble dryer wasn't working (not ideal during Storm Bert)

Negative: Had difficulty getting information on how to get into cottage (where/how to get key). Once I was able to speak to owner directly all was fine. As American guests, it would have been helpful to have written directions on heat, appliances, etc. the location is absolutely wonderful! The cottage was cozy, and the views were breathtaking! We would definitely return!

Positive: Thé location of thé housse was perfect with a beautiful view. The housse was well equiped The Host facilitate our arrival and Always answered very quickly to our questions.
Negative: We never met our host. And we would like to meet her and also to have some recommandations on what to do and visite around. Also kitchen and bathrooms were dirty and we had to clean it at the begining of our stay.
Summary: Nice surrounding area but house (kitchen and bathrooms) was not very clean..were dirty.
